Parish Re-opening Guidelines

Nativity of Our Lord is open.

We look forward to seeing our parishioners at services. Everyone is welcome.

Please note: Nativity of Our Lord Orthodox Church is in compliance with all current Commonwealth of Virginia COVID-19 related court and executive orders

Attending Services and what to expect:

  • Service Sign-up is not required. Based on our level of attendance, our ushers can comfortably seat all parishioners and guests upon arrival.
  • Please understand that our Nave has a capacity limitation that we adhere to. We have set up alternate seating in the social hall with a video live stream should attendance exceed capacity.  This is less than ideal, but we do have volunteers who will happily go to the social hall to allow for a visiting family or a family that has not been able to attend regularly to stay in the Nave for the service.

We appreciate everyone's patience, humility, selflessness, and concern for each other's situations as we communicate updates in Commonwealth of Virginia guidance and continue to adapt our reopening guidelines within said guidance.  We are focused on doing everything possible for us all to attend services, pray, and worship together in Christ. If anyone has a question, we welcome your inquiry, please reach out to the parish or any board member by email or a phone call to discuss the specifics of your question or concern.
